1948: Syrian Army and the SS

CIA declassified documents that show Syria recruited former German SS officers, Col. Rauf and Colonel Friede for the Syrian army. Otto Skorzeny is mentioned in this CIA document. Skorzeny was a devout Nazi SS officer/commander with loyalty to the Fuehrer, the Final Solution, and [his] assumed Arian superiority. He is best known for making a daring raid to free Italian dictator Benito Mussolini.

On September 12, 1943, the Italian dictator, Benito Mussolini was kidnapped and being held captive at a villa on La Maddalena, near Sardinia. Skorzeny made a surprise raid on Mussolini’s captors and “rescued” the Italian dictator without any gunfire or firing a shot. The operation earned Skorzeny fame and legendary status. Hitler promoted him to major and he was awarded the Iron Cross.

The success of this mission made him the obvious choice to lead a mission to assassinate “The Big Three” at the Tehran Conference to be held a month and a half later. The Big Three meaning; Late October 1943.

One of Skotrzeny’s unsuccessful missions included a failed assassination attempt on Churchill, Stalin, and Roosevelt. It was called Operation Long Jump.

He also has a very strange and deadly post-war history. After the war, he was hired by the Israeli Mossad as a hitman. He carried out assassinations of former Nazis, including a high ranking Nazi scientist, Heinz Krug. Krug was part of Germany’s Rocket program during World War II.

Skorzeny was also rumored to be a lover of Eva Peron. Thus reinforcing the Argentina/Nazi connection after World War II.
